Pitney Bowes Applauds Continued Momentum of Postal Reform Legislation

       Senate Governmental Affairs Committee Unanimously Approves Bill

STAMFORD, Conn., June 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) applauded today's action by the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee in approving the Senate postal reform bill (S.2468) by a vote of 17-0. The bill was introduced last month by Senator Susan Collins, Chairman of the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee, and Senator Tom Carper, the Committee Democrat who has taken the lead on postal reform issues.

     * Maintains price stability while increasing pricing flexibility; and

     * Improves the Postal Service's tools to manage its business and
       employees.
