Pitney Bowes Honored by National Business Group on Health as a Best Employer for Healthy Lifestyles
STAMFORD, Conn., May 14, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) was honored recently by the National Business Group on Health, a national non-profit organization of 266 large employers, as a Best Employer for Healthy Lifestyles for its continued commitment and dedication to combating obesity and promoting a healthy lifestyle for its employees.
Distinguished as one of only five companies to be honored for three consecutive years as a Platinum Award winner, Pitney Bowes was recognized for the Company's creation of its "Culture of Health" which encompasses its health care strategy, "Health Care University", and emergency preparedness programs. Pitney Bowes was among 41 employers who received the Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles award at the Leadership Summit sponsored by the Business Group's Institute on the Costs and Health Effects of Obesity.
