Pitney Bowes Hosts 2nd Annual Supplier Diversity Summit

Summit Seeks to Build Greater Awareness of the Value of Company Supported Supplier Diversity Programs

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May. 15, 2012-- Pitney Bowes will host the 2nd annual Supplier Diversity Summit at its World Headquarters in Stamford, CT. The summit will feature a wide range of internal stakeholders across the business and prime suppliers, coupled with diverse suppliers looking to gain a better understanding of Pitney Bowes’ procurement opportunities and how to do business with Pitney Bowes.”

Chairman, President, and CEO, Pitney Bowes, Murray Martin will kick off the summit with remarks to conference attendees on the value that supplier diversity brings to Pitney Bowes. Keynote speaker, Al Williams Chief Procurement Officer, from Accenture will focus on the innovation and world class services that diverse businesses bring to global enterprises. Partner organizations including the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), Pamela Prince-Eason President-CEO and the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), Dr. Fred McKinney, President, Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council, will also deliver remarks.

Laura Taylor, vice president strategic sourcing and procurement operations shares that “additionally as part of the exchange, diverse suppliers will have the opportunity to meet and build relationships with key internal stakeholders and prime suppliers in one on one matchmaker sessions.”
