New Online Solution Brings Integrated Office Shipping, Mailing and
Parcel Payments to Millions of Businesses
STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 26, 2016--
Pitney
Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI), a global technology company that provides
innovative products and solutions to power commerce, today announced the
launch of the SendProTM
family of office shipping, mailing and payment solutions. The SendPro
solution revolutionizes shipping for businesses of all sizes by
streamlining the sending process in a single, one-of-a-kind
multi-carrier office shipping solution, which includes the U.S. Postal
Service, FedEx and UPS.
The SendPro solution is an integral part of the Pitney
Bowes Commerce Cloud, a commerce enabler, providing access to
solutions, analytics and APIs across the full commerce continuum with
speed and agility to help clients identify customers, locate
opportunities, enable communications, power shipping from anywhere to
everywhere, and manage payments. The SendPro solution is also available
through the Windows Store and featured on the Windows 10 platform.
Pitney Bowes unveiled SendPro today at a client reception in New York
City at the flagship Microsoft store.
From addressing and label printing to comparing shipping options,
package tracking and consolidated reporting, the SendPro solution allows
users to manage multi-carrier shipping online or from one of a series of
devices. Customers have access to the best rates available across
carriers through the SendPro solution. The software allows users to
access via the cloud the information they need to select the best option
for each item based on service level and price. With the SendPro
solution, small and medium businesses can now cost-effectively utilize
the same technology used by large shipping companies and online
retailers.
“The Pitney Bowes SendPro family of integrated shipping, mailing and
parcel receiving applications represents a breakthrough in convenience,
simplicity and value much like the launch of the smartphone or the
multi-function printer,” said Mark Shearer, Executive Vice President and
President, Pitney Bowes Global SMB Solutions. “Businesses -- especially
small and medium businesses -- are increasingly burdened by the growing
complexity of sending parcels, flats and mail through multiple carriers
with a variety of rate structures, service levels, and tracking and
billing processes. Many companies don’t have the volume of parcels and
mail or the resources to justify dedicated systems or personnel to
optimize their sending. The SendPro solution takes the complexity out of
multi-carrier sending and can be easily accessed through any smart
device or through a new family of integrated shipping, mailing and
parcel receiving systems.”
The new SendPro P Series mailing and shipping solutions unite the latest
in mailing equipment with groundbreaking multi-carrier office shipping
capabilities and inbound package receiving capabilities. The SendPro P
Series integrates hardware and software in a single product that drives
efficiency and delivers accountability and tracking in the mailroom.
SendPro Desktop and Networked SendPro Kits round out the current
portfolio of SendPro products. With scales, label printers and the
SendPro software, each SendPro Kit delivers sending simplicity to any
small office or desktop. Clients sending as little as one envelope or
package a day will reap immediate savings from this new, integrated
sending system.
Feedback from beta test users confirms that the SendPro solution
delivers convenience, simplicity and value:
-
“This is by far the most efficient and user-friendly shipping tool
I have come across. I have used them all, and this is the best.”
Jeremy Kershaw, Director of Shipping and Receiving at the United
Kennel Club, the largest all-breed performance-dog registry in the
world.
-
“This is so intuitive and much easier to use than I expected from a
beta product.” Shannon Skubel, Vital Nutrients, a leading provider
of supplements for the healthcare industry.
“We are excited to work together with Pitney Bowes to bring the SendPro
Universal Windows app to more than 270M Windows 10 devices via the
Windows Store,” said Kevin Gallo, Microsoft Corporate Vice President,
Windows and Devices. “Windows 10 users can now easily access SendPro to
initiate, track and pay for their shipping from their desktop, tablet or
mobile. Users will be able to use Cortana for voice activated shipping
that seamlessly connects with their address and contact management
programs, including Outlook, Gmail and LinkedIn. This is the first in a
series of innovative commerce applications by Pitney Bowes on Microsoft
Platforms.”
Pitney Bowes is also expanding its Purchase Power® consolidated carrier
billing, payments and credit offering to include USPS parcel payments.
Every Pitney Bowes client earns Free USPS Shipping through the Pitney
Bowes Shipping Rewards program. This further simplifies sending by
consolidating billing and payments for mailing and shipping in a single
monthly bill.
A global research study commissioned by Pitney Bowes revealed growing
frustration with the lack of real choice of shipping software providers
for small and medium businesses, which left hundreds of thousands of
users with outdated, downloaded client technology that only provides
single-carrier information, like Stamps.com. The research highlighted
the need for an integrated, cloud-based, multi-carrier platform to
simplify the sending of mail, flats and parcels for businesses of all
sizes.
To address this growing need and showcase this revolutionary technology,
Pitney Bowes is offering a three-month free trial of its multi-carrier
SendPro solution for all new users. Current Stamps.com customers are
encouraged to try this extended free trial of SendPro to see first-hand
the value and convenience of managing multi-carrier shipping from one
consolidated platform in the cloud.
