Pitney Bowes Management Services Acquires Services Integration Group, L.P. with Multi-Million Dollar Contracts
STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 2001--Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) today announced the acquisition of Shell Services International Inc.'s Services Integration Group, L.P. (SIG) by Pitney Bowes Management Services. SIG provides an integrated suite of Facilities Management, Document Management and Office Support services to Shell Oil Company and several of its affiliates, as well as other companies. The deal also includes a 49% limited partnership interest in Services Integration Group's minority-owned business Easi Document Integration, L.P. (EDI).

With the acquisition of SIG, Pitney Bowes Management Services will assume responsibility for providing on-site and off-site outsourcing services valued at over $200 million to Shell Services International and other Shell affiliates. Included is a five-year contract with Shell Oil for the provision of facilities management services, further strengthening PBMS' position as a leading provider of world-class outsourcing services. Also included are contracts for mail and document management outsourcing services, and for office products and services, for Shell Oil Company, Shell Chemical Company, Shell Exploration and Production Company, Shell Energy Services Company as well as other Shell affiliates and companies in different industries. Pitney Bowes Management Services currently provides outsourcing services (on-site and off-site) to other utility/energy companies, high tech companies, large financial services organizations, Fortune 1000 companies and is the leader for the top national legal firms.
