Pitney Bowes' Memorial Day Letter Writing Campaign
Visits to Schools in Beaufort and Hilton Head What: As Memorial Day approaches, Americans thoughts turn towards the armed services, including more than 25,000 U.S. Marines serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. This Tuesday, Pitney Bowes is helping local school children express their gratitude to the Marines deployed oversees, learn more about the Marines Corps and the history of Memorial Day and practice valuable letter-writing skills. A Marine representative will speak with students about the Marine Corps and the significance of Memorial Day and Pitney Bowes will provide writing materials and tips for students to create personalized letters for delivery to Marines deployed overseas. When/Where: Tuesday, May 25th 8:00 am to 9:15 am Robert Smalls Middle School 43 W. K. Alston Drive 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm Hilton Head Middle School 55 Wilborn Road Who: Derek Camps-Campins, Pitney Bowes District Director Captain Don Caetano, USMC Denise Smith, Principal of Roberts Smalls Middle School Laura Geib, Librarian at Hilton Head Middle School Available: Interview opportunities include Marine representatives, Pitney Bowes executives, and school principals.
