STAMFORD, Conn., Mar 13, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ --

Professional Looking Mail Pieces Help Acquire New Customers Your Mail Will Generate Repeat Business

Pitney Bowes (NYSE: PBI), the global leader in mailing and document management solutions, announced today the launch of the OfficeRight Mailer -- a folding and inserting solution to meet the needs of businesses looking to automate this process. For the first time, users have access to fast, affordable insertion capability, in a compact, versatile, easy-to-operate unit that can significantly reduce administrative time.

Stuffing envelopes is a dull, time-consuming task in most offices. The OfficeRight Mailer helps businesses speed up mail distribution, create more professional looking mail pieces and free up valuable company resources for activities that are more productive to your business. The OfficeRight Mailer enables businesses to get the most out of their mail -- like the ability to cost-effectively include a promotional mailer with invoices -- making it simple and easy to use.

The OfficeRight Mailer is the latest addition to the Pitney Bowes suite of Mail Creation products. According to Tim Bates, Vice President, Customer Marketing, this solution opens up a new market for Mail Creation products. "The OfficeRight Mailer serves businesses who typically would spend money out-sourcing or manually folding and inserting. Now they can spend more time growing the value of their current customer base and acquiring new customers -- which means an increase to their bottom line."

Product Feature Highlights

The OfficeRight Mailer can process up to 900 pieces per hour or 15 cycles per minute, with a target output of 200-2000 items per month, making it ideal for both casual walk-up usage and larger mailings. Handling material, both unstapled or stapled, it facilitates the distribution of invoices, estimates or promotional materials when folded and inserted into regular business size envelopes -- significantly reducing manual efforts.

In addition to the standard sheet feeder, the machine can be configured with an insert feeder for response envelopes or leaflets and/or with a second sheet feeder -- giving customers several options for their mailings. The OfficeRight Mailer is designed to require minimum maintenance by incorporating features such as a self-replace moistener for sealing envelopes.
