The SendPro C-Series leverages the latest cloud technology to securely
deliver greater value and convenience to users through a range of apps,
analytics and services. Ongoing software upgrades will deliver new
services and value, without the need to change devices. All models are
based on an integrated Android operating system, making this an open
platform capable of running any combination of thousands of Android
applications. The SendPro C-Series is also an access point for the
Pitney Bowes Commerce Cloud, which offers a host of valuable new
applications and services from Pitney Bowes and partners, including the
USPS and Google. Pitney Bowes is collaborating with Google and others to
develop innovative new apps and deliver new services via Google Play,
creating new value far beyond mailing.
The latest Pitney Bowes Parcel Shipping Index, an annual report that
measures both volume and spend for business-to-business,
business-to-consumer, consumer-to-business and consumer consigned
shipments with weight up to 31.5 kg (70 lbs.), revealed that parcel
shipping grew in the US by 8.2% in 2016. While shipping volumes are on
the rise, so is complexity, with growing multi-carrier usage, increasing
fees and surcharges, new carrier services and dimensional rating.
Businesses of all types and sizes need a unified platform that takes the
guesswork out of office sending and helps them select the ideal sending
option for everything they send, while also reducing the cost.
Organizations can now securely access package shipping, mailing services
and related applications from a laptop, mobile device or the integrated
Android tablet on new C-Series connected sending devices.
“This is a transformative moment in the evolution of office shipping and
mailing,” said Mark Shearer, EVP and President, Pitney Bowes Global SMB
Solutions. “The new SendPro C-Series is designed to take the guesswork
out of shipping and mailing. These digitally connected sending devices
allow users to better manage their sending operations on one platform,
providing the confidence that they selected the right carrier and class
of service for each expedited envelope and package, track all shipments
from one dashboard, and provide consolidated visibility and control of
postal and carrier expenses. It also helps ensure the proper postage for
each piece so users can be certain that their item will arrive as
expected, without adding unnecessary and excessive postage. The SendPro
C-Series also provides a direct digital connection to the Pitney Bowes
Commerce Cloud, which gives users access to enterprise-level savings,
analytics, new applications and services.”
In support of these expanded capabilities, Pitney Bowes has also
invested in widening its shipping payments capabilities to enhance our
value proposition to clients while simplifying multi-carrier payment
options. Through expanded financing offerings, Pitney Bowes offers
shipping clients better tools to manage working capital, enhance free
cash flow and simplify multi-carrier payment management. The combination
of more value and better simplicity provides a compelling difference for
clients, enabling them to receive one consolidated monthly bill for all
of their shipping and mailing expenses, while earning rewards that can
be used for postage or other shipping costs.
The SendPro C-Series will leverage Smartlink IoT (Internet of Things)
technology to improve ease of use, enable new services and provide
visibility and control over postage and shipping spend. AutoInk enables
just in time ink deliveries at significant cost savings. AutoPostage
refills and AutoRate updates ensure the system is always accurate, up to
date and ready to use. The Commerce Cloud Insights dashboard provides
analytics on mailing and shipping spend, trends and savings
opportunities. The initial launch is approved for use by the U.S. Postal
Service and features the leading office shipping carriers.
In addition to eliminating trips to the post office, the SendPro
C-Series allows users to link directly to existing carrier accounts to
simplify the process and access discounts, share one address book across
carriers to save time when printing shipping labels and print
carrier-compliant labels from one platform with an integrated label
printer or from your network printer.
"The C-Series system is really user friendly. Now, I can send mail and
print shipping labels right from the system. It's designed to fit
perfectly into my space, and makes me feel like we are up-to-date with
technology," said Nancie Gray, Vice President, Marketing & Special
Events, Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce. "We send mostly with the
Postal Service, but also have accounts with UPS and FedEx. Having the
rate information at our finger tips and being able to decide the best
option will save us time and money.”
"I like that I can print shipping labels from my computer. I can also
track shipments quickly from my desk," said Georgia Laaser, Title
Associate, Real Estate Law Group. "Before I got this system, I didn't
know all of the options for shipping overnight or for tracking packages
with the Postal Service. Now I can see all the options with their
prices, which lets me pick the best way to send something. I also like
that the system checks the address for us, and adds ZIP+4 to the Postal
packages."
The C-Series is the latest innovation to join the SendPro family of
products. It is the result of the foundational work we have done over
the last few years. Last April, the original SendPro online application
was introduced. It was the first-of-its-kind, cloud based multi-carrier
shipping solution for the modern office. The SendPro P-Series launched
in July of 2016, integrating shipping and mailing and managing incoming
deliveries for high volume senders. Now, the C-Series brings that same
multi-carrier shipping, mailing and tracking capabilities down market to
businesses looking to simplify their shipping and mailing while reducing
costs. The open platform allows third party developers to build
applications, which exponentially increases our ability to create value.
There is currently no equivalent product to the C-Series in the market
today.
The SendPro C Series will be featured in an event next week with Google
on September 12 at 9am EST, announcing Pitney Bowes’ new Small Business
Partner Program. To watch the event, click here to register: www.pitneybowes.com/us/events/cserieswebcastregistration.
