Pitney Bowes Showcases Top Industry Thought Leaders at MAILCOM 2004
STAMFORD, Conn., April 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) will showcase new technologies and provide highly respected mailing industry thought leaders at MAILCOM 2004, one of the industry's premiere networking and educational events. The event, held April 27-30 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, will provide mailers of all sizes with the opportunity to view, in one location, software that adds intelligence to the mailing process, services that promote efficiencies and systems that speed communications.
Several Pitney Bowes industry experts will speak at the event and provide insight into the latest trends and technologies that help companies better engineer the flow of their communication. Pitney Bowes subject matter experts include:
* Joseph Chmill will present "Re-Engineering Documents" on Wednesday, 4/28, 3:00pm - 4:00pm. This session will focus on how companies can create efficiencies in their operations and comply with postal regulations without touching upstream processes. * Scott Gerschwer will give attendees a look into the advantages offered by combing hard copy and digital channels for electronic billing and payment in his presentation, "EBPP: An Inside Look", Wednesday, 4/28, 4:15pm - 5:15pm. * A hands-on course covering the disciplines and principles of manufacturing as they apply to mail production will be offered at, "Mail Production: A Manufacturing Process". The session is hosted by Timothy Donnelly, Marc Grimm and Tony Luna on Friday, 4/30, 12:10pm - 1:00pm. * Attendees can learn how to increase marketing results in the wake of recent "Do Not Call" and anti-spam legislation at "Do Not Call & Direct Mail: New Opportunities". The session is hosted by Tom Roberts on Thursday, 4/29 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm.
Attendees that visit booth #515 will have the opportunity to see and learn more about Pitney Bowes latest offerings including the new DA950 and DA400 fixed-head, high speed address printing systems that offer frequent and professional mailers enhanced productivity and labor savings. Both systems offer intelligent stacker features and adjustable high output ink-drying systems to ensure proper workflow and enhanced performance.
Pitney Bowes will also launch new software solutions to help mailers of all sizes create more efficient mailing operations while controlling costs. Business Manager is a new system that consolidates real-time information from local and remote site mailing systems into a centralized server so an enterprise can monitor postal costs, analyze expenditures, and identify potential cost reductions. Pitney Bowes DFWorks(TM) Postage Accounting and Funds Management System provides high volume mailers and production houses with a tool that allows them to them simplify postage costing, replenish funds automatically; and generate consistent reports with maximum accuracy.
Demonstrations are also available for the Address Now(TM) Data Quality Solution that enables the rapid capture of address data into desktop, call center, CMM, and other applications. ForwardTrak(TM) Plus is a client interface to the USPS Move Update (NCOA) information that allows mailers to identify and update move information prior to mailing. This solution helps saves mailers money and increases the timeliness of customer communications. Representatives from Pitney Bowes Workflow Solutions will also be on hand to discuss the advantages of properly engineering the mail production environment and Pitney Bowes Management Solutions will provide information on the benefits of utilizing a trusted third party provider to manage mail and document flow. In addition, Pitney Bowes will demonstrate its high-integrity, secure communications capability in a real time HIPPA application.
