Pitney Bowes Names Arun Sinha as Chief Marketing Officer
He will be responsible for integrated marketing communications, brand management, external affairs and media relations, web strategy and development, and marketing research, enterprise-wide.
In making the announcement, Matt Kissner, Group President and Chief Venture Officer said, "Arun's extensive background in brand management and the marketing of consumer and high technology products will help drive our mission to ensure that our customers, employees and shareholders know us as one company with one brand and strategy. His strong background in business development and e-commerce in both corporate and start-up environments, and successful track record of developing and running profitable businesses, will also be a plus in his new position."
Prior to joining Pitney Bowes, Sinha was founder and CEO of Agorux Inc., a business-to-business e-marketplace company that provided supply-chain management software solutions. Previously, Sinha spent ten years at Philip Morris USA in key positions in marketing, business development and brand management. Among Sinha's primary responsibilities were brand development and managing brand equity for various well known consumer brands such as Benson & Hedges, Parliament and Merit.
Before joining Philip Morris, Sinha was a senior account executive at the advertising agency Young and Rubicam, where his clients included Colgate Palmolive/Lipton, Lincoln-Mercury, and Ford Motor Company/Goodyear.
Sinha holds a Masters degree in Advertising/Marketing from Michigan State University, a Masters in Journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communications in New Delhi, India, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Xavier's College, University of Calcutta, India.
