LONDON, Oct 1, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Pitney Bowes (NYSE: PBI) is hosting its next executive briefing in the "Beyond the Envelope" series on October 2, 2003 in London to discuss how companies can enhance their customers' experience, better leverage resources and improve business security. The session, which is titled "Navigating in the Post Bubble Economy," will feature Matthew Bishop, Business Editor of The Economist. Bishop will offer insight on investment and growth, and why investment in technology is still required to reduce costs. The briefing is being held at the Dorchester Hotel and is limited to invitees only.

"Gaining new business and satisfying existing customers is top of mind for most companies," said Brian Baxendale, executive vice president of Pitney Bowes. "A critical process in this quest to grow business is the flow of customer communication. Customers demand accurate and timely communication, whether that communication is a bill, statements, new product offerings, direct marketing piece, customer service response or call center exchange. Businesses need to focus on their mail and document flow and take action to engineer the process so that it can deliver maximum results while reducing costs."
