Pitney Bowes Board of Directors Amends Governance Principles
STAMFORD, Conn., Sept 12, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Pitney Bowes (NYSE: PBI) announced today that the Company's Board of Directors has amended the board's Governance Principles regarding the election of directors. Under the amendment to the Governance Principles, any director seeking reelection to the Board who receives more withheld votes than affirmative votes must submit his or her resignation to the Governance Committee of the Board. The Governance Committee will in turn consider the resignation and make a recommendation for subsequent action to the full Board.
