CASE is a private, nonprofit, public-service institution similar to the National Academy of Sciences. Membership is limited by statute to 250 members.

CASE will recognize Auslander at its 32nd Annual Meeting and Dinner on May 22nd at the Hilton Mystic Hotel, Mystic. At this event, the Academy will honor the achievements of Connecticut's student scientists, hear a keynote speech by Dr. Robert Ballard, President of the Institute for Exploration/Sea Research Foundation, and recognize the election of new members.

Members are elected to CASE on the basis of their accomplishments in science, engineering or technology.
