Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) today announced that it has been named to
the Corporate Responsibility Officer (CRO) magazine’s tenth
annual “100 Best Corporate Citizens” List, earning a spot on the
prestigious roster for the ninth time. Pitney Bowes ranks 84 among the
largest publicly-traded companies on this year’s list. The full

CRO’s 100 Best List is based on publicly-available information,
ranking Russell 1000 companies on their performance in seven key areas:
Environment, Climate Change, Human Rights, Philanthropy, Employee
Relations, Financial, and Governance.
Pitney Bowes scored highest in the human rights and philanthropy
categories. It scored well in the environment
and climate change categories as well, underscoring its efforts to drive
environmentally responsible mailing practices for the overall mailing
industry and within its own operations. In 2008, Pitney Bowes reported
its 2007 carbon footprint data in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP6),
scoring 84 points for providing comprehensive and quality responses.
In addition, the company is well known for its workplace
volunteerism, charitable
giving, and diversity

‘Heart of Gold’ award from The Volunteer Center of Southwestern
