Pitney Bowes Raises the Bar in Office Imaging With the CD6100 Digital Copier/Printer
TRUMBULL, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 26, 1999--Fulfilling the growing demand for color imaging in the workplace, Pitney Bowes (NYSE:PBI) has introduced the CD6100 series digital copier/printer/scanner. As the successor to the popular Pitney Bowes CD6000, the Pitney Bowes CD6100 is rated up to 23 copies per minute and features Pitney Bowes' proprietary Accu-Feed(R) Paper Handling System. It is the world's first color copier to feed 4" x 6" 110-pound index card stock. Additionally, the CD6100 can produce 11" X 17" full-bleed copy/printing onto 12" x 18" custom paper stock. The 50-sheet manual bypass also permits copying onto transparencies and letterhead.
The CD6100 represents a revolution in digital full-color
reproduction. Recently awarded Buyers Laboratory Inc.'s highest
rating, "recommended status," the CD6100 provides brilliant, accurate
colors, smooth gradations and darker, sharper text. The result: 400
dpi resolution and 256 color gradations at the touch of a button.
"Basic" and "professional" color adjustment modes provide easy
adjustment and more complete control of sharpness, brightness, hue,
saturation, contrast, density and color balance.
"The CD6100 color copier connects to our family of optional
ConnexColor print controllers that make it the most powerful and
flexible digital copier production system available," said Dennis
Roney, president, Pitney Bowes Office Systems Division.
"It not only serves as a sophisticated color publishing device,
but also as a networked scanner and printer, and significantly
increases productivity for MAC, PC and UNIX workstations."
Features:
-- Three front-loading paper drawers and a 50-sheet capacity bypass
tray offer a maximum paper capacity of 2,300 sheets.
-- The CD6100 produces six full-color copies and 23 black & white or
one-color copies per minute and offers the widest zoom ratio in
the industry: 25% to 600% in 0.1% increments.
-- The CD6100 utilizes a unique trayless duplexing system that
inverts the page and sends it back through the paper path for
two-sided copies without ever releasing the paper.
-- The optional 10-bin sorter/stapler efficiently sorts groups and
staples up to 10 sets of 25 copies.
-- The CD6100 provides self-regulating environmental controls to
keep internal temperature and humidity levels constant at all
times to provide reliable paper handling and print consistency.
-- And with the CD6100's test print function, specifically designed
to avoid costly trial and error adjustments, users can
automatically produce a color test sheet for each of the
available color adjustment modes. Costly waste is avoided by
simply selecting the color scheme that most accurately reflects
the original, matching it to the control panel and pressing
"print."
